In this lesson, we’ll cover some sweet licks in the Delta Blues style.

Delta Blues means alot of things to alot of people. One of this gritty brand of Blue’s originators is a powerhouse guitar player, Charley Patton. You could probably spend a lifetime studying his works and continually learn from the recordings he left us.

Today we’ll scratch the surface and you’ll pick up a couple of sweet licks that harken back to our Blues roots planted by Mr. Patton.

You’ll learn:

  • A “train whistle” based lick
  • A fantastic descending bass line
