Easy Way to Get Started with Delta Blues

Lesson ID: TB247

In this lesson, we’ll get started with DELTA BLUES with an easy-going strum-along.

Delta Blues is wrapped in mystery and dipped in mojo. That “Delta” sound seems elusive and extremely difficult to nail.

Plus, much of it is fingerpicked and/or played with a bottleneck slide. These techniques can take a month of Sundays to get down.

No need to trade your soul, today we’ll play some great Delta sounding blues with an easy strum plus a few carefully places blue notes.

You’ll learn:

  • How to strum full chords and sound bluesy
  • How to keep the rhythm swingin
  • When and where to play a few key bluesy notes
