    John,

Really like how you give those of us relatively new to guitar, clear instruction and manageable pieces to practice.

    Best,
    Tom

Could you please help me organize lessons….I have pretty good theory under my belt. I am a rhythm guitar singer songwriter. I have a trouble getting traction on these lessons because I have so many holes in my playing. Like I really don’t know my neck or scales very well. What do you suggest for my first, say 5 lessons?
Thank you. I am a subscriber because I do think that you are an excellent teacher. I’m excited about making some good progress and appreciate your direction.

Hi Toni and Happy New Year! Happy to help. I really recommend spending some time to memorize the notes on the fretboard. If you already are good with theory it will really help you make sense of how the notes are arranged on the neck. This is a very solid starting point. I put together a tutorial for learning the neck if you’d like to check it out. Beyond that maybe we could have a chat about your goals to fill in some of those gaps. Would you mind emailing me so we can chat a little more in depth?
