A Little Finger Picking Exercise for Big Results

Lesson ID: TB207

In this lesson, we’ll cover a quick little fingerpicking exercise that’s sure to build your fingerpicking chops.

If you want to be a solid fingerpicker, you need to keep your fingers guessing. What I mean is, you don’t want your fingers to get so used to one style or one technique that they can’t do anything else. This is actually pretty easy for a country blues picker to fall into (I’ve been there).

You’ve got to stretch your capabilities out of your comfort zone to round out your fingerstyle skills.

You’ll learn:

  • How to Navigate Really Tight Fingerpicking Situations
  • How to Keep Your Hammer Ons in Time
  • How to Shift Out of a Rhythmic Rut
