Make the Most of What You Know with Movable Chord Shapes

Lesson ID: TB158

In this lesson, we’ll leverage simple chord shapes you already know and move them around the fretboard.

The guitar neck can be a scary place, for sure. You can wander around for the neck decades and not really understand how things are laid out. Fortunately, we do have a couple of keys to help us unlock the fretboard’s mysteries.

Learning what movable chord shapes are and how to use them will multiply your abilities on the guitar extremely fast.

You’ll learn:

  • What chord shapes are and how you can use them to your advantage
  • How to convert basic chords to bluesy 7th chords
  • How to move chords around the neck and play in different keys
