Is it time to clean up your strumming?

Lesson ID: TB170

In this lesson, we’ll get back to basics with a quick tune up on your strumming technique.

Strumming a basic chord may very well be one of the first places you started on the guitar. But have you ever gone back and revisited how you strum?

In this lesson, we’ll take a look at strumming in a very specific way. We’ll hone in on a few strings rather than haphazardly strumming through 6 strings and hoping for the best.

You’ll learn:

  • The basics for the “Sittin’ on Top of the World” progression
  • How to lay back on the intensity and let the song breathe

When you are ready, there are two ways I can help you:

Back Porch Blues Course:  A proven system to fingerpicking the blues.  This step-by-step course guides you through building fundamental fingerpicking skills.  Plus, you’ll learn three levels of a delta blues style performance study to put your new skills into action.
